I would like to hire a car at Thessaloniki Airport and drive it to Bulgaria. Is this allowed?

Travel Restrictions Cross border rentals are allowed only within the European Union. Prior written authorization is required. There is also an insurance premium fee that applies depending on the length of the trip and the country. (green card). Out of country rentals: Renters may drive the rental car to certain countries outside of Greece. Restrictions do apply. Out of country rentals require prior approval and are charged an additional 10 EUR per day with a 90 EUR fee for the green card. Roadside assistance or car replacement while driving abroad is available.
